Commissions
I am currently accepting bespoke commissions for your beautiful wedding flowers. You can preserve and transform your wedding flowers into a framed keepsake and piece of artwork. Pressing your flowers is a wonderful way to remember such a special occasion.
I am based in Suffolk, UK and you can deliver your flowers directly to me in person in Lavenham, Suffolk. Or, depending on the size of your arrangement, a pickup can be arranged in Bury St Edmunds town centre or Sudbury, Suffolk town centre. Collection or delivery of your wedding flowers will need to take place the day following your big day. Please place your flowers in water at home as soon as possible to keep the arrangement fresh and ready for me to press.
You can also ship your flowers to me if you live elsewhere in the UK. The same rule applies; your flowers will need to be sent within no more than 2 days of your wedding day. You will need to post your flowers via the Royal Mail 24 Tracked Delivery service to ensure they reach me as soon as possible. Some wilting may occur, but I will do my best to preserve and include as many flowers as I possibly can. The sooner you can dispatch the flowers, the better! I will send over some tips to help keep them as fresh as possible on their journey.
There may be flowers that do not press quite as well as others in your arrangement, particularly the thicker flowers such as sunflowers or roses, for example. However, these flowers can still be incorporated by pressing individual petals. The paper I work with will be a natural handmade card sourced from another small business. The backgrounds come in a choice of beautiful natural colours which we can explore at the start of this process. Please feel free to include a photograph or invitation as part of the finished piece if you so wish.
Your wedding flower artwork will be presented in a brand new frame and the piece itself will measure approximately A3 in size. The cost of the frame is included in the overall price, and you can decide on the style and colour of your frame once I’ve sent you an image of the finished artwork. I will do my very best to find a frame that works for your piece, and we can discuss the different options.
The price for the main piece is £295.00, a non-refundable deposit of £95.00 is required upon placing your booking with the remainder of the cost to be made prior to shipment of your artwork, I will not be able to dispatch your piece until full payment has been received. If you are purchasing this product via Etsy, your deposit will be paid via this listing and I will create a custom listing for the remaining cost once your artwork is complete.
From the date of the drop off or delivery of your flowers, turnaround time will take between 4-6 weeks. Due to the scale of a bespoke wedding piece and the duration of the flower pressing process, I can only take on a limited number of commissions per year. With that in mind, your booking will need to be made in plenty of time before your big day to secure your slot. You can either send me a message on Etsy, use the contact form via my website, or email me at kellyrcrocker@gmail.com to check availability.
Some colours may naturally change or fade with time, so please keep your piece out of direct sunlight and away from moist-prone areas to best protect the artwork. Please also note that some flowers change colour during the pressing process. A good example of this is that red poppies often come out of the flower press a beautiful deep purple.
I look forward to working with you to create a truly special memento. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any queries you may have.
